A real estate webinar funnel is the sequence a prospective buyer or seller moves through around a scheduled online educational session: promotion, registration, reminders, live attendance, an invitation to a one-to-one conversation, and structured follow-up afterwards. Each stage has its own measurable conversion, which is why webinar performance is reported as a chain of rates — registration to attendance, attendance to appointment, appointment to transaction — rather than as a single number.
Funnel and audience terms
Real estate webinar funnel
The sequence a prospective buyer or seller moves through around an online educational session: promotion, registration, reminders, attendance, the next-step invitation, and post-session follow-up. The webinar is one stage of the funnel, not the whole of it.
Webinar registration
A person submitting their details to reserve a place at a scheduled online session. Registration records interest in the topic; it does not indicate that the person will attend or transact.
Buyer webinar
An online session aimed at people intending to purchase property, covering the purchase decision, financing sequence and local market conditions relevant to buyers.
Seller webinar
An online session aimed at property owners considering a sale, covering valuation drivers, pre-listing preparation, timing and the listing process.
Webinar nurture sequence
The scheduled series of communications sent to registrants after a session ends, branched by whether the person attended, typically running about a week before the contact moves into lower-frequency ongoing contact.
Measurement terms
Webinar attendance rate
The share of registrants who join the live session, expressed as attendees divided by registrations for a single session. Counting rules vary between platforms, so the figure is only comparable when the minimum time in the room that counts as attendance is stated.
Webinar appointment rate
The share of attendees who book a one-to-one conversation as a result of the session. The denominator should be attendees rather than registrants, because a registrant who never attended was never offered the appointment.
Show-up rate
A common alternative name for webinar attendance rate. RECODemand uses attendance rate in published material to avoid two names for one metric.
Format terms
Webinar versus seminar
A webinar is delivered online to remote attendees; a seminar is delivered in person at a physical venue. The teaching content can be identical, but the two differ in cost, catchment area, recordability and the strength of rapport formed.
Evergreen webinar
A pre-recorded session presented on a repeating schedule rather than delivered live. It removes the live question segment, and disclosure that the session is recorded is a basic honesty requirement.
How RECODemand uses these terms
RECODemand applies these definitions consistently across its guides, client reporting and published research. Where an industry source uses the same word differently — most often attendance rate, which some platforms calculate against registrations and others against people who opened the join link — the difference is stated at the point the number is published rather than left to the reader. The rules governing that are set out in the editorial standards and the research methodology.
